The government freed altogether 124 Maoists detained in various jails around the country on Tuesday. After the Maoist - government negotiation, 61 detainees were freed from Nakkhu Jail, Lalitpur and other 52 from Kaski.
Among the detainees freed today from Nakkhu was Himal Sharma and Krishna K.C was freed from Norvic Hospital. He was under treatment there.
Most of the detainees freed from Nakkhu were caught up almost 20 months ago and other 20 are not still free.
Some of them are still not able to meet their families. Binda Yadav and Bhajan Raya Yadav, recently freed detaines, say, " Condition of Nepal is still not good. We are not able to go our home and meet our family members and relatives."
Reports have said that all Maoist detainees would be released by the time the second round of government-Maoist talks start.
